Obama leaving campaign trail to visit grandmother
WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. — Democrat presidential candidate Barack Obama is canceling nearly all his campaign events Thursday and Friday to fly to Hawaii to visit his suddenly ill 85-year-old grandmother, his spokesman said.
Best wishes to Obama and his family. I’m sure his grandmother is proud of him!
One of his grandmothers is white and lives in Hawaii, the other is African and lives in Kenya.
And can some of the liberal commentators (read: Rachel Maddow) just stop worrying about how this could hurt him politically… I normally like Maddow, but his grandmother is sick, this is something that ANYONE would do.
Sorry ’bout that, but I needed to get that off of my chest… Anyways, I wish him and his grandmother all the best, and a speedy recovery.
